I spent the last 3 days working on the photos for the magazine. Aside from cropping, correcting the colours and contrast, I had to eliminate the ledge of the platform on 28 photos to make them look better. And they all DO look much better.
I've been looking for a second SLR camera to compliment the one I already have. I'm thrilled to find out that the Canon 650 will do the things I need. And the bonus is that I can share lenses with it from my Canon Elan.
Nesha and I watched Bend It Like Beckham on Saturday night. I really liked that movie. I especially loved the East Indian wedding scene. The music and dance were wonderfully rich and energetic. We followed it up with Red Dragon. We enjoyed that too but what a contrast in movies!
Yesterday, we went out to the Burnaby Pottery Guild's annual sale. We spent over an hour there. We also spent quite a few bucks too. There was a lot we wanted to get. But our eyes were bigger than our wallet. Nesha and I ended up with some new shiny and not-so-shiny things.
Dinner with my family in the evening was at a popular Chinese restaurant. It was to celebrate my mom's birthday, even though we were 2 weeks early. the restaurant was bustling and suprisingly small. There were only 6 tables. The food was okay but not great. Their famous fried tofu lived up to its reputation. We all enjoyed being together though. Nesha had a great time talking to everyone. And my brother made more of his bad jokes as usual. Really bad jokes. :P Nesha humoured him by telling him his jokes were better than mine.
At least I think she was humouring him...
