I took the day off from work yesterday.
evrydyishallown dropped by and hung out for the afternoon. I gave her a birthday present and treated her to lunch. I hope she didn't mind it was Subway! She has been a good friend and it is always great to be able to spend some time with her. She noticed that I had some grey/white in my goatee and pointed that out to me. I thought that I always had some of that in my hair.
I went to pick up my mom and brother later for dinner. My brother wanted to buy me dinner at Anton's. He wanted to show me how much he appreciated me and to make up all the things he did to me in the past. I happily accepted his offer but he would not have taken no for an answer anyway. He said that I always turned down his offers and insisted that I accept it for once. I guess that sometimes I have to learn to graciously accept gifts as it makes the giver feel good about it.
The pasta was delicious as usual. And we went home with leftovers... as usual. And my mom criticized the food as usual. At any restaurant that we take her to that isn't a Chinese restaurant, she always fusses about the food. She was shaking her head, saying that she could make pasta for a fraction of the price they charged us. We tried to trick her by telling her my brother knew someone who worked there and got a good deal but she didn't buy that.
And then my mom pointed out that I had some grey/white in my goatee.
