Jul. 2nd, 2003 09:06 amoh yay... Vancouver will be hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics... :(
With so much money for the Olympics celebrations, there was none for fireworks on Canada Day. Nesha and I got to see the Hulk last night. Mmm... me like! =)
The movie worked on so many levels. Ang Lee did a great job. The dissolves from scene to scene were creatively done. And the use of split and multiple panels worked very well in showing a scene as well as capturing the multi-panelled storytelling of comic books.
During the day, I planned on riding out to Ladner but I procastinated and ended up having just enough time to make it out to UBC instead. I found myself going at 120 kmph in the 80 k zones when I found clear straight sections but two sports cars passed me by on separate ocassions. They were going at least 150 kmph!! I managed to keep myself from the temptation of racing with them. Funny how my common sense kicks in.
I met up with Nesha after I got home for a quick shower. She ate her dinner during the movie. With half an hour left in the show, she had to go pee very badly. Unfortunately, another movie had ended when she found an opportunity to go so the bathrooms were crowded. Needless to say, she didn't want to miss much lining up so she endured the rest of the movie. This was were she became understandably distracted enough from enjoying the final half hour of the events on screen. I held her hand in support.
After, a relieved Nesha and I walked back home while playing grab-ass. Did I mention she bought me a bouquet of pretty flowers? :D
