Nov. 13th, 2003 12:23 pmI am soo looking forward to this year's (any year's actually...) East Side Culture Crawl. I really hope that Nesha can get some time off from work to go with me. I have gone in previous years and have always enjoyed the event immensely. Besides seeing what the local artists are up to, we get to take a peek at how the studios are set up, how some of the artists live and the layouts of these places since some of them are live-in studios or literally apartments/condos. It's like an excuse to sneak a peek inside someone's home. Of course... we ARE really there to see the art. ;)
I just saw why our mail can't be delivered to my apartment building. Someone had ripped off the cover and wires to our security/intercom system. It took me almost 3 weeks to notice this as I rarely use the front door or if I have, I never noticed this.
I had to come in late to work this morning so I could finally pick up my mail from the post office. The hours for this service is from 9 to 2:30 so I had no other choice. Brad works in the post office but they wouldn't let him pick up my mail even with a written consent form from me.
Speaking of mail, maybe I should not have picked it up. I was sent a summons for jury duty selection in January. I don't understand... I just did jury duty about 8 years ago... oh. Maybe it's time to do it again. :P
Even though the experience was worth it, I don't believe it is something that requires repeating. Maybe I can claim mental illness... what? On the bright side, maybe I can make a few bucks by taking bribes. That should be worth at least $20. Heh.
