I have to admit I watched the movie Julie during the weekend only because it came with my Garv DVD. Aside from having one of the worst kissing scenes I have seen in cinema, I felt like I was watching a bad 70's sexploitation movie. And then I remembered it was a remake of a 70's movie...

I made up for that viewing experience by watching two better movies which coincidentally had Bollywood bad boy, Salman Khan, in them. Poor Sallu... in both movies, it's either him or his love interest who meet their demise just when things look promising.

On Monday, I watched Phir Milenge. It was a groundbreaking and relevant film for Hindi cinema. The well-scripted movie dealt with the sensitive issue of HIV and discrimination. Shilpa Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan put together fine performances. Salman had a smaller role but he shone as well. In a much more trivial point, Shilpa has weird feet...

The next movie I saw was Tere Naam. It dealt with the radical effects love can have on someone. Salman Khan was quite good in this one.

Because of the ending and the way the issue of obsession is portrayed, it reminded me a lot of Dil Se. There was one point in the movie, when the two lovers have shared their feelings about each other, I was thinking how sweet the story was and everything was going to work out. And then I realized that 3 hours had not gone by yet. As if on cue, things took a turn for the worse at that moment. I should have known. I mean... this was a Bollywood movie! :P

This was also the first time I had seen Bhoomika Chawla in a movie. She is soo cute! I really love her lips.

The singing voice used for her in the temple scenes was breathtakingly beautiful. Bhoomika's character was very sweet. I am going to look for more of her movies.
