Apr. 26th, 2006 05:26 pmWhile walking back home from the Seawall yesterday evening, I noticed that about 90% of the people I saw were talking on their cellphones.
At least for the last 5 blocks before I got to my building, every person I came across was chatting on a cellphone.... people walking on the streets, sitting in cars, standing on the sidewalks, in doorways and in alleyways... they were all talking to someone on their phone.
I have nothing against that but it was just a surreal realisation. I'm sure there can be something analytical that can be said about this phenomena. One thing I can say is that it certainly isolates people into their own world.
