Aug. 16th, 2006 11:49 pmI haven't been getting enough sleep lately and my mind seems to be unusually preoccupied. I can't seem to focus on any one thing for very long. Work has kept me busy but I don't want to have my life revolve around my job.
I have taken a few days off and am going to go on a road trip with my motorcycle over the border. I have always found road trips to be immensely therapeutic. This will be the first time I will have gone on such a road trip with a motorcycle. One of my stops will be at my sister's place in Redmond, just outside of Seattle. It has been a while since I have visited her anyway. Apart from that, I don't really have any other specific destinations in mind. I'm just going to go where the roads take me. The main reason for that is the fact that I get lost so easily. This will fix that little quirk!
I wish I could take my better camera but I don't want to risk taking it with me on the motorcycle. There's too much of a risk of having it stolen or damaged. I'll probably return on Sunday evening or even afternoon if I start early enough. And then I'll probably take another trip using my car. For that trip, I'll likely go as far as Oregon. I have a lot of vacation time available so I might as well use them while the weather is still good.
A few hours ago, I was downstairs adjusting and making sure the saddle bags fit on my bike. One of the building caretakers came around the corner to check on me. He looked relieved when he recognised who I was. I told him that I really appreciated his vigilance. The rent may be expensive but I love the security in this building.
