Aug. 31st, 2006 10:58 amI have gone through many changes and fine-tuned some aspects of my life in the past year. I have actually cut down on a lot of my spending. I rarely buy DVDs anymore and while I didn't buy many toys to begin with, I don't see any point in getting anymore at all. A year ago, I replaced most of the toy figures on my shelves with pottery and things from trips I have taken or gifts that were given to me. It just feels so much better... and dare I say.. mature? (Sorry to those who still collect toys!) I still have a few more that I will put into storage.
Dinner with my family on my brother's birthday was fun. My brother sure ate a lot that evening. It seemed like he lost all inhibitions about eating. I'm glad to see him coming out to these family get-togethers more often. As for my older brother, we rarely see him out now. His controlling wife has really kept him from going out much and having fun.
