Oct. 9th, 2006 09:37 pmI finally watched Krrish. This was a sequel to Koi... Mil Gaya. The sequel seemed like it was made for kids who grew up after watching the first movie, which was released 3 years ago. With some of the violence, it was definately not a movie for younger children. This is apparently the first Hindi superhero movie. Since a majority of the story takes place in Singapore and showcased it's urban scenery, their tourism board fully supported the movie. As did Frito-Lay. I developed a serious craving for the munchies while I was watching this movie.

I don't believe it's fair to compare Krrish and Koi... Mil Gaya with each other. They are just too different. However, Krrish looks a lot better and has a very well written storyline. As far as "superhero" movies go, this is as good as any put out by Hollywood. And Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra are great tolook at watch. You sure can't beat eyecandy for both men and women. ;)

I am not going to say too much about the story so I don't ruin it for anyone but the martial arts/action scenes looked slick and expensive. And ninjas! They have ninjas in the movie! That's a sure sign that Bollywood has brought their fight scenes on par with anything the rest of the world. Bringing in a quality martial arts choreographer was a good decision.
I have seen Priyanka in movies before. She always looks beautiful but she looked exceptionally good here. That woman is absolutely gorgeous. She is so impossibly perfect. Excuse me for a moment while I go sign up for her fan club...
