Nov. 26th, 2006 11:17 amThe drive out to Richmond was slow last night as the roads were slippery from the snow. I had to switch to 4-wheel drive just in case. It was actually warmer on the ice rink than outside last night. The other goalie called in sick at the last minute. We suspected that he was out drinking the night before. We played for a while with only one goalie (me) but luckily, a goalie had finished his game at the rink beside us and agreed to join in. It's always much better to have two available goalies.
It's snowing even more heavily now than last night. I had planned to visit more art studios in the Eastside Cultural Crawl with Lorelei but I think it's better to stay out of that white stuff. I haven't seen her in months though so I hope she isn't too disappointed. I have a feeling that the artists who don't live in their studios probably won't be there anyway.
My sister and her family came up here to pick up my mom for their Caribbean cruise. I think they're heading back to Redmond, Washington tonight. I hope they'll be okay. I'm glad they have a vehicle that can handle just fine in this snow but I'm more concerned about the other vehicles around them.
