What a lovely place! On my list of places I want to go. I shouldn't have had that beer tonight, because now I'm going to write "is it as rome-antic as it looks?" bad...bad...I'm sorry...will not drink beer again.
I do have family there actually, but I've never met them before. My grandma still writes letters to them periodically I think, but they live in southern Italy.
Venice was amazing- like a fantasy world. My experience of Florence was so so. But I think it was mostly because some Italian pop idol was going to put on an outdoor live concert while I was there in the center of town and there were, literally, thousands of tenny bopper Italian teens shrieking all over the place. *cringe* LOL

I am sure you would love Paris as well. I haven't been to Spain yet but that's another European place on my list (among many)!

Do you still have any family there?
