piscesdreamsOh wow. My new favourite movie of all time is Hero, with Jet Li. The visuals are absolutely lush and beautiful and this is well-rounded out with fantastic fight scenes and even an excellent storyline.
There are scenes where there's just one dominant colour. During a fight scene in a forest there are yellow leaves everywhere and flying around from the fighting. When one of the fighters get killed, all the leaves turn red and rose petals float around in the air. There's also another scene where two of the characters fight, skimming along the surface of a scenic lake and ocassionally dipping their swords into the water. It reminds me of two sparrows flying around, playing tag. It was absolutely beautiful.
Everything about this movie is perfect, right down to the music. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was good but this one is ten times better.
I went to see Cowboy Bebop: the Movie and it was disappointing. The main characters were flat and the cutsey one annoyed the heck out of me and Nesha. The only interesting characters were the villain and his lover/hunter. That's too bad because the story was interesting and one could see a lot of work went into this.
I can't believe the media's irresponsible decisions to air stories before the true facts surface. I don't know how many times they have broadcast or announced news that later on have proven to be false or inconclusive.
