N is moving to Nelson for school and I offered to take his coffe table for him while he's gone. I thought it was a thrift store bargain table but it turned out to be the nice one he made years ago.
Racheal drove us out with her bug honkin' truck to help him move his mattresses and "unknown materials" couch out to Value Village.
Ahhh... there's nothing like driving down Kingsway in a truck loaded with an ugly sofa and mattresses. No one with any degree of income was even slightly interested in the sofa. The only people who had expressed some interest were people new to the country but even they changed their minds afterwards.
We originally thought this was to be a drop and run-for-your-lives situation but someone came out and directed us to the back. We rounded the building and saw a matching sofa. Two guys helped unload the truck and we were good to go.
Nesha worked almost a 15 hour shift last night. I don't even know if she made it out by midnight. I'd better give her a call and see how she is doing.
