Sep. 19th, 2006 10:50 amI had bid on and won a Sandisk memory card for my camera from eBay yesterday. When I did a search to see if I really did get a good deal, I came across numerous reports about a large number of these cards being counterfeits. I was shocked to find out that over 95% of these Sandisk cards on eBay are fakes. The description provided by the seller didn't help reassure me either.
I had already paid for the item and I thought I was going to be stuck with it. Just as i was starting to get used to the "Sucker" sign on my forehead, the seller replied to my inquiry about this situation and agreed to give me a full refund. He said he doesn't know if the card was fake either but preferred to offer me a refund if I wanted instead of sending it out to me.
Fantastic. I got the full refund immediately and became a little wiser. I said "a little"... :P
