Sep. 22nd, 2006 11:55 amI finally sold my old goalie pads last night. After playing in them for over 12 years, they're gone. But they went to a good home.
I waited for months to see the season premier of The Office. But I missed it because I didn't realise what time it was on. And I went out to deliver my old goalie pads. The young couple I sold them to were very nice. I was impressed by their friendliness and politeness. It looks like my pads are going to be put into good use by a girl. I know she'll enjoy them as much as i did.
I am taking next week off from work. I am leaving for Washington the morning after my first hockey game of the season on Saturday evening. From the weather reports, it looks like it's going to get quite warm.
I might make it as far as Sunset Beach, Oregon. If I do, I may spend a night in one of the yurts they have there. My friend tells me that they are only about $28 a night. It's quite a long drive so i don't really know if this is part of my plans yet.
I'm going to try to pack extremely light but I'll definately be bringing my camera. I just hope my car doesn't break down. There's nothing wrong with it and I'll do an oil change before I leave.
I'm working only half a day today. it was nice being able to take my time in the morning and just waltz right into the office. And I'll be able to leave early too. :D
