Sep. 23rd, 2006 09:00 pmI completed my oil change for the car last night. Because I am so anal and absent-minded, it took an hour longer than expected. :P
I left this afternoon to drive over to visit my brother and have him advise me on how to do some tuneups for my car. As I drove towards the exit of the underground parking, I saw a small dark shape hopping around. It was a squirrel. The parking area here is huge and I didn't want the poor thing lost here and starve to death so I parked the car and tried to see what I could do. After about 20 minutes of looking for it and chasing it around a bit, I had to give up.
So, the spark plugs have been changed and all the fluids checked and topped up. This was the first time I did a complete tuneup on my car without bringing it in to a mechanic. It was nice knowing I avoided a huge bill and got to experience what it takes to work on a car extensively. I have my first hockey of the season in a few hours. I took a photo of my new goalie pads while they are still white and clean. Maybe I should just avoid letting pucks touch them? That's usually pretty easy. ;)
