piscesdreamsI just got back home after shopping for groceries and dropping them off, with a load of gifts, for a family our graphics department are helping out for the holidays. They're a couple from Afghanistan who have been in Canada for about 3 years. They were understandably shy but their 2 and 4 year old were not! :)
Their kids were so cute and excited to see us. It was extremely warm in their apartment. I wonder if that's because they're used to their warmer Middle Eastern climate?
I've been a bit off last week because of some reocurring dreams that made me think too much. All this brought me down to sporadic episodes of mild depression. I'm sure the shorter days had something to do with it as well. I was becoming quite concerned about spending so much time by myself and not socialising but I came across some information that showed that what I was doing was natural and healthy.
I just needed the time to redefine myself and find out what I want from life. This is apparently a normal stage to go through. I was worried about the duration that this has lasted but it appears to be normal as well. I'm relieved to know that I'm heading in the right direction. I prefer not to be so self-involved but I guess it somewhat necessary.
I still have about an hour to prep and eat dinner before bed so I'd better get started.
